How nice is it to stay warm in your own home when the cold weather gives you no respite in winter? Maybe with a nice book, a cup of tea… In the war against cold temperatures, a very important ally is the boiler. However, nowadays being sustainable and attentive to the health of the environment around us is a moral duty, both for us and for future generations: the time has come not to use just any boiler, but a biomass boiler, a quality, sustainable and affordable heating method.
Biomass boilers are able to use all types of wood-based biomass: from pellets to wood chips, from wood logs to peach stones. By burning natural fuels, these types of boilers produce high efficiency thermal energy at low cost, with considerable savings compared to traditional fuels of fossil origin, and guarantee high levels of efficiency and reliability.
We previously talked about convenience in choosing a biomass boiler. How so? Here are some advantages in choosing this type:
Less pollution
These boilers are environmentally friendly because they have low emissions of sulphur and other air pollutants. In addition, the use of fuels such as pellets, wood chips, wood, etc., helps to reduce dependence on non-renewable sources such as oil, coal and natural gas.
High caloric efficiency
Biomass plants are totally automated and have no size limits, as they can reach powers of several thermal MW. For automation and operating savings, they are particularly suitable for heating medium or large buildings: hotels, schools, shopping centres, greenhouses and industrial sheds.
Savings compared to traditional systems
Biomass boilers allow savings of between 20% and 50% compared to traditional methane gas and oil systems. A biomass boiler certainly costs more than a gas/diesel boiler, but the cost of fuel is lower (considerably, compared to diesel), and therefore in the long run there is an advantage. For example, in the case of a “reverse-flame” wood-fired boiler (a modern type of wood-fired boiler that exploits the “gasification” process) of 20 kW used to heat a 200 sq.m. house and assuming a heat requirement of 45,000 kWh per year and a cost of seasoned firewood (about 130 q/year) of 11 €/q, the payback time of the investment is about 8 years.
Possibility of using the ecobonus
Biomass boilers, due to their sustainable nature, are easily included in the 110% ecobonus, both as driving and combined interventions (see the complete guide at this link). A great opportunity, therefore, both for the end consumer who wants to change boiler by buying a 5-star biomass boiler, the best of today’s technology, which will achieve considerable savings, and for the entire heating sector, which receive a great incentive to start again after these difficult months.
Progetto Fuoco’s product gallery
Do you want to try one of these boilers and improve your home? All the best brands can be found in the new “product gallery” section of the Progetto Fuoco website, which already contains the most complete overview of the new products on the market, from boilers to fireplaces through kitchens and barbecues, stoves and accessories.
This is not an e-commerce section, but a virtual showcase, where you can find the wide range of products that this sector offers. Thanks to the vastness of the present offer, you will be able to personalise your search by filtering the products through numerous keys: energy class, type of fuel, environmental certification, consumption, dimensions and weight… you will be able to completely satisfy your needs and at the same time protect the environment. What are you waiting for?
